Drumnagarrow sits high above Glenbuchat, on an unspoilt hillside, with panoramic views to the South.
Our design replaces the existing ruined house with a large glass and zinc barn style house, and retains the ‘cluster’ pattern of the site, by rebuilding the two ruinous outbuildings and slipping modern zinc clad structures within. Large expanses of South-facing glass allow the house to be heated by passive means, while the simple materials palette of polished concrete, white plastered walls and birch-faced plywood create a serene interior.
We’re delighted to be working with Create Engineering on this exciting project.
This project recently gained planning permission, and is scheduled to start on site later in 2016.
